Little Everly Tatum has made her media debut! Just two weeks after she was born, parents Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatumshared the sweetest family pic on Sunday. "First Father's Day with my girls," tweeted the proud Magic Mike star. But it's more than just an incredibly cute photograph. It also reveals something the stars probably didn't realize.
It's the first image they have released and we LOVE it for many reasons -- chief among them is this isn't the typical "meet my baby" shot most stars show off. So many other A-, B-, and even C-listers stage these moments for the masses. You know what I'm talking about. The new baby usually appears in some glossy spread in an entertainment magazine and everything is perfect -- down to the outfit, spotless house, well-behaved siblings, and, of course, the expertly styled and coiffed parents.
It's great that Channing and Jenna opted for a real moment in time. Yes, they look great -- but it doesn't feel like a cheesy, staged photo shoot by some famed photographer they will then sell for a million bucks to the highest bidder. As much as I adore Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, I thought it was crazy that the first photos of Shiloh went for millions. Then there are those lower caste stars, who pocket thousands for allowing Us Weekly and In Touch to make the big reveal. Kris Jenner was talking about how much Kim's baby's first pic would fetch weeks before she was even born. It's tacky, if you ask me.
Others should definitely should take note -- this is how it's done right. The entire Tatum family looks incredibly relaxed, sporting very casual, normal clothes. Though the real star of the photograph is clearly Everly, who is nestled in daddy's arms and wearing an adorable white dress. Channing and Jenna chose a wonderfully natural, beautiful way to introduce their baby girl to the world.
What do you think of the first photo of Everly?
