baby with two heads
A baby boy with two headshas been born in India, which is exactly as unbelievable as it sounds. The child has a condition known as conjoined dicephalic parapagus twins, which is typically seen with baby girls more than boys. And sadly, many times these types of twins do not make it.

The baby has one rib cage and one shoulder girdle, but two separate nervous systems, back bones, and heads. Even though he is in serious condition, his doctors at J.K. Lone Hospital in Jaipur City are hoping they'll be able to save him.

Take a look at this video to see more of the child.

The poor little thing. Doesn't this just break your heart? As a mother, I can't even imagine how awful it must be to see your baby lying there helpless and wondering whether or not he is going to survive -- especially when the circumstances are so rare and unimaginable. Thankfully the doctors aren't giving up and are willing to fight for him, and we can only hope they come through and give him a chance.

Even though this isn't my baby -- I couldn't help but want to reach through the computer screen and pick up the newborn and cuddle him after seeing the video footage. If this were my child, I'd absolutely want doctors to do everything in their power to save him, even if I knew that he would never really live a normal life. I'll never forget the instantunconditional love I felt the first time I saw my son and held him in my arms -- and I know there's nothing on this earth that could've changed that for me.

My heart goes out to the parents of this little boy, and I will be keeping them in my prayers for sure. The birth of a baby should be the most joyous time in a person's life, and it's just so sad to think about anyone having to come to terms with their child being anything less than healthy and thriving.

What words of encouragement would you offer to this baby's family?
