Britax just issued a massive recall of about 216,000 strollersdue to a risk of partially amputated fingertips; broken fingers; severe lacerations, among other injuries. The potential injuries may occur when pressing the release button while pulling on the release strap.

1. How many injuries have their been? Thus far, Britax Child Safety Inc. has received eight reports of incidents, including one partial fingertip amputation, one broken finger and severe finger lacerations.
2. Which Britax strollers are being recalled? The models involved in the recall were sold in numerous color schemes, including black, red, kiwi, sandstone, navy, and orange. They were manufactured between March 2011 and June 2013 and have the following model numbers:
B-Agile Strollers: U341763, U341764, U341782 and U341783
B-Agile Double Strollers: U361818 or U361819
BOB Motion Strollers: U391820, U391821 and U391822
3. Where can I find the model number of my stroller? The model number and the date the product was manufactured can be found on the label located on the inside of the stroller's metal frame near the right rear wheel.
4. Where and when were the strollers sold? The Britax strollers were sold at major retailers nationwide, as well as online at Amazon.com, albeebaby.com, buybuybaby.com, diapers.com, ToysRUs.com, among other online retailers, from May 2011 through June 2013 for between $250 and $450.
5. What should I do if I have one of these strollers? Stop using the recalled strollers immediately and contact Britax to receive a free repair kit.
