I love it when parents are able to successfully infuse their personal style into a nursery space, because what's the point in having a room that doesn't feel like home for everyone who spends time in it? This nursery for a baby boy is living large in the busy city of Los Angeles and has so much going for it -- from the mismatched letter wall to the cool, industrial clothing rack. You most definitely want to click through to see more below!
The ever fabulous Ouef Sparrow crib in a khaki green color looks right at home coordinating with that super rad rug. Do I spy a soft sheepskin as well? The perfect soft spot for play time on the floor.
A giant floor-to-ceiling window lets light flood into the entire space, but this corner is where all the fun stuff is stashed in one of those handy dandy IKEA units. Also, isn't that such a lovely shade of blue on that Eames style rocker?
Hanging above the crib is a fabulously large chalkboard with a cool mobile close by. I'm always a fan of chalkboards -- they're playful and allow for a generous amount of creativity and fun.
Another shot of that cool letter wall. It's so funky and fun, and I bet they had the best time collecting all those letters. I'm imagining it was something of a treasure hunt!
So there it is: a hip nursery with a slightly industrial influence and eclectic sense of style!
The letter wall has me wondering if you've ever had a specific vision for a feature in your child's room, and if so, how did it go when it came to executing that vision? I love a good DIY, but goodness knows things don't always go as planned! Please, share with us in the comments!
