It might seem crazy, but public breastfeeding is STILL a hot button topic. For whatever reason, the debate between whether or not it's *appropriate* for moms to openly nurse in public is one that always gets haters riled up. Yet the irony is that breastfeeding isn't a new innovation. Which is why one mom's Facebook post showing the history of mother's nursing in public is going seriously viral. Rene Johnson takes issue with the idea that breastfeeding is indecent and in her latest post, she reminds all of us that not only is breastfeeding in public normal, up until the 1900's it was pretty much no big deal. So in case anyone has forgotten, women have been nursing in public since beginning of time!
