I'm sure Justin Bieber was looking forward to putting that whole paternity issue behind him, but it's up and running again. As single mom Mariah Yeater says even though the lawsuit was dropped against Justin Bieber, her paternity claim was not dropped and she's still looking for the DNA test. Which, apparently, Bieber has not given up.
In fact, Yeater is standing beside her claim that she and the Biebs had sex in the Staples Center, and he's her baby's daddy. Not the other dude who stood up and said he was and then promptly was arrested on drug and burglary charges. What a mess.
No comment yet from the Bieber camp as to why the pop star won't give up his DNA for a test, but no matter what happens, this is all going to end badly for baby Tristyn.
As I've said before, either Yeater is nuts (which is horrible for the little one) or Bieber is lying and denying. Either way, this kid already has a big strike against him. Fathers who fight paternity tests are highly unlikely to be involved in a baby's life. If Justin Bieber turns out to be the father, he will surely send a check, but not much else. The kid is a kid himself, and ill-equipped to be a father. Having an absentee, albeit rich, dad is not going to be good for Tristyn. We can all sit back and wait for the reports 16 years from now of this poor kid self-destructing.
The same goes if his mom is simply making all of this up to get attention. Then he's living with a head case. But even worse, his name, his mother's name, and of course, Justin Bieber's name are all over the news. We've got the Internet, people, and this is not going to go away. He'll be able to Google himself, or whatever the kids will be doing in 2027, and know that either his mom is nuts or his dad doesn't want to have anything to do with him.
Which is why this would have played much better if Yeater had stayed away from the tabloids and handled it privately. Of course it's too late for that now. Now, it just needs to end. Which seemingly it will, if Justin Bieber steps forward to be tested. Come on, Biebs, the ball is in your court.
Do you think this baby has a fighting chance?
