Former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi and her husband Mike McCuddy welcomed a healthy baby boy on Thursday. The bouncing bundle weighed in at a hefty 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and was brought into the world via surrogate. DioGuardi, 42, and McCuddy couldn't be more thrilled, as the path to parenthood was no easy road for them. For years, DioGuardi unsuccessfully tried to get pregnant, and endured miscarriages and failed IVF attempts along the way. The couple explored adoption, but decided a surrogate was best for them.
